In the north China’s rural area, traditional heating modes such as kang, hot wall, burning cave are still widely adopted. If the pattern of using energy in urban is copied to the rural areas, the shortage of energy resource will be further aggravated. Therefore, to improve the energy efficiency and heating effects of the traditional heating modes is a sustainable route to follow, which fits for China’s actual conditions and is better for improvement of the occupier’s living environment with lower costs in the rural area. Considering the problems in the process of construction and operation of the demonstrating houses integrated with burning caves, analyses the correlative influence factors between technical performance and construction costs and expounds the constraint conditions of different interest parties in engineering application of the optimized design of burning cave. Analyses emphatically the constraint conditions in costs and user’s experiences. Provides six suggestions.
